Flyable Heart Final Thoughts!

I started reading Flyable Heart from a friends suggestion. I ended up finishing this game today right as I'm writing this on the 10/12/2026. This review is for my friend Sonny, so I hope she enjoys reading this! And to anyone that is interested in my internal thoughts (๑˃ᴗ˂)ﻭ

I went into the game expecting just a typical slice of life visual novel, and while it did have those aspects, I was fairly surprise that it was more than just a slice of life, it has a plot that revolved around time travel, which I thought was really cool! And very unexpected. This was my first time reading from this developer: Unisonshift, so I didn't know what to expect other than to assume from first appearance. I was really interested in gettting into Unisonshift games so this was my first ever introduction to their world. My thoughts were through a discussion with my friend, when we first talked about it I thought that maybe this was just a moe style visual novel with slice of life aspects and routes. But the more I read the novel the more I understood why it was so interesting!

The main character gets sent to a different world or timeline? But the game keeps it a secret until you reach a point. It does go the typical route of just going through some SOL moments but when you reach the character routes it's where things got very interesting!

The routes I thought were the best written were Amane's, Yui and Sakurako's. Which delved a little more into their characters backstory and lore, I like when I am reading a girl's route because it makes me want to get to know them more. But the characters I liked best were Mayuri and Kururi, but sadly I can't say they were the best routes in terms of character lore, but they were definitely my favourite girls when reading. Their routes were cut short, and a lot of character development felt missing for both ESPECIALLY Mayuri, but I know that they actually have a seperate game for her that probably does it justice for her! I will read that right after~

Rant about the characters I like:
I thought Mayuri was so cute, I really love characters that have a secret personality and side to them, I really loved her haraguro personality, I honestly wish she acted that way the whole time towards the MC nearing the end of the game, and I also wish that the other characters could find out that secret side of her, but they never do unfortunately... I thought that could be a very interesting plot point to see that the perfect Mayuri actually had a dark side to her! She reminds me of Hiro from Manosaba abit, that mature but also immature tsundere behaviour, it's one of my favourite troupes!

I really liked and related with Kururis personality and backstory, I liked her mean moments towards the MC it was very cute. Her route was not amazing, and I wish they did a little more, and they definitely could've... I am a big fan of nerdy or scientist girls!

The overall story was a slice of life, highschool coming of life with abit of time travel, but it still had their dark moments, which made the game really fun to read, I enjoyed it a lot, the ending was quite interesting and I wish we got to see more of the time travel aspects of the game but it was very vague nearing the end. I didn't expect Suzuno to be the main heroine but she is cute, but I can't say she was that interesting just because I feel like I didn't really get to know her well enough. I genuinely thought it that Yui would be the true heroine, as she was presented as the poster girl for the game.I do understand that it's hard to give screen time to atleast 6 different girls, I feel that they were being a bit of overachievers! And the game is atleast 30-40 hours long. You'd expect a visual novel covering 6 different girls to be a lot longer!

My final thoughts, it's a very good read despite the minor flaws, I really enjoyed all the characters especially the background characters which made me feel like friendship was real~  It is a slice of life, but it took itself seriously at time which made it engaging to read, I recommened it if you're in the mood for something cute, emotional and fluffy~
